“calculated risk”
(noun) An action that may fail but has a good chance to succeed.
When you take a calculated risk, that means you know there is a chance of failure, but you think the possibility of success is higher…or you think that the possible reward for success is so good that it is worth it to try!

They took a calculated risk when they put the new computer on the market.
Even though it is a calculated risk to invest all money in Apple Computers, I think that if Apple can beat Microsoft it will become the most profitable stock in the world! |
