TOEIC Grammar: Identifying Parts of Speech
One skill you will want to develop is the ability to identify Verbs and Nouns and Adjectives just by what the word looks like. This will be useful in the Incomplete Sentence section of the TOEIC.
The best way to do this is to study Suffixes. Suffixes are groups of letters put at the end of a word that tells you what part of speech that word is. Some suffixes can be more than one Part of Speech.
It is not important to know what the Suffix means. You only need to remember what Parts of Speech the Suffix identifies.
